Seeking a Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver. The position will be required to perform all activities related to the safe operation of heavy trucks. This includes truck cleanliness, general adjustment items such as clutch and brake adjustments and maintenance. Company drivers are also expected to assist the crews they are hauling for by sweeping, materials handling and any other required detail as requested by the Field Foreman.

Requirements:

Transport experience preferred although not required
Minimum 1 year experience
Class A CDL
Clean MVR
Must be able to lift and control equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.
Position frequently requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and driving for long periods of time.
This position requires working in the field on construction jobsites that will include heavy noise, potential equipment hazards and vehicle hazards.

The foreman is a construction worker with experience in a particular trade who is charged with managing the overall construction of a particular project and/or crew. It is the responsibility of the foreman to lead his/her construction crew on the job site on a daily basis to keep the construction project on task and schedule each day. In the performance of this function, it is also the foreman’s responsibility to protect and promote BECK CONSTRUCTION & EXCAVATION’s interests in all matters and do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his/her duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         The foreman is the lead equipment operator of his/her given crew.

·         The foreman is responsible for, and expected to maintain, their equipment and provide general maintenance as needed on their equipment, for safe operations on the construction job-sites. This maintenance may include, but is not limited to, the following:

•   Checking the filters daily
•   Changing oil and general greasing of the equipment
•   Keeping the interior and exterior of the equipment clean of trash, debris and mud
•   Completing repair order’s for any maintenance done to and/or parts purchased for the machinery

 
·         The foremen determine the priorities for work to be done, sometimes based on their own initiative, but most often based on the needs communicated by the Superintendent, Project Manager, Engineer and Project Owner. They must determine whether they have the number of employees possessing the required skills for the job, verify that the needed items are on-site and available for use, and then direct employees on which tasks are to be completed first.

·         The foreman is responsible for providing proper documentation, knowledge and tools to his workers so they can proceed with tasks. If problems arise, the foreman may alter the schedule to minimize down time or to assist in making a project more efficient.

·         The foreman will train employees under his or her supervision and ensure appropriate use of equipment by employees.

·         The foreman will communicate progress on the project to the superintendent and project manager.

·         The foreman will communicate with their crew effectively and with respect.

·         The foreman will provide leadership and establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships of the crew and will promote a positive project morale.

·         The foreman is expected to ensure that workers obey all safety regulations, whether they are statutory or specific to the employer. Foremen are also responsible for communicating safety procedures to employees or offering safety training to new workers.

·         The foreman will evaluate plans for each construction job they are working on, and ensure the projects are being built to the required plans and specifications.

·         The foreman is responsible for maintaining the SWPPP and SWPPP Log requirements for each project that they are on.

Minimum Skills(Qualifications) required:
·         Read and interpret Civil blue prints and have an understanding of the project at hand.
·         Skilled heavy equipment operator with the ability to operate many different sizes and kinds of equipment
·         Read survey stakes and set grades
·         Calculate Quantities needed for a project. 
 
Certificates and Licenses (Must be obtained within a reasonable time period):
·         10 Hour OSHA Training
·         ATSSA – Traffic Control Technician (TCT)
·         Competent Person and Trench Safety Certification
·         SWPPP Project Management (On-Site Training)

A Concrete Finisher is a construction worker that performs many tasks that require physical labor on construction sites. Most concrete finishers work full time and do physically demanding work. It is the responsibility of the concrete finisher to place and complete all finish work for concrete flat-work, stamped concrete and structural concrete in the progress of construction project as needed. In the performance of this function, it is also the concrete finisher’s responsibility to protect and promote BECK CONSTRUCTION & EXCAVATION’s interests in all matters and do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his/her duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

• The concrete finisher will use a variety of hand tools (blowtorches, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, tape measures, levels, etc.), power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.), air tools and small heavy equipment and machines, pressure washers and water spraying equipment
• The concrete finisher will be responsible for managing his/her crew and assist in tying rebar, setting, and assembling concrete forms and assisting with the pouring of concrete.
• The concrete finisher is required to read and understand plans and specifications, estimate material amounts needed and place orders for product. They are responsible for tracking product quantities and finishing concrete.
• The concrete finisher must maintain leadership qualities and be willing to teach and train within their line of work.
• The concrete finisher will act as assistants to other trades and operators.
• The concrete finisher will help clean and prepare the job site each day.
• The concrete finisher will help with the loading, unloading and delivering of materials.
• The concrete finisher may also control traffic, set up markers, cones and barricades and may flag vehicles to control the traffic flow.

Skills required:

• To qualify as a concrete finisher you must have a minimum of five full year’s experience finishing concrete.
• Employees are expected to lift 50+ pounds on a daily basis.
• Employees are required to bend, squat, lift, carry, kneel, climb and crawl.
